But I’m a Cheerleader!
Looking for a cheesy, cornball, satirical comedy that pokes fun at concepts of being cured of homosexuality? Look no further than Jamie Babbit’s delightful romp, But I’m a Cheerleader.
Roland Garros 2007: Early Round Catch Up
I figure if the Open can get behind due to rain, I can get behind writing about it. Convenient that.

Mythical Detective Loki Ragnarok — Episode 4
I actually watched this on Monday, but work, class, and a few other things kept me from writing. This’ll be brief, because my memory is quickly fading. However, it was a nice turn around from the “bleh” of episode 3.
Roland Garros 2007: Day Two, Rain on You
Good grief, what is up with weather and sporting events? Most of yesterday’s play at the French Open was rained out, even more of today’s play was, and then the Indy 500 had to end early due to rain as well.
Mythical Detective Loki Ragnarok — Episode 3
Can’t say I particularly liked this episode, as it wasn’t all that fun. To make matters worse, it had a lot of freaky birds in it, and I’m terrified of birds as it. Even the unrealistic ones in the show were creeping me out a bit.
Roland Garros 2007: Opening Day on the Clay (pt. 2)
Well what do you know, they did manage to squeeze in a bit more tennis this afternoon. Rather surprising, given how bad the rain was. Unfortunately, it stopped raining in Paris only to start raining in Indianapolis thus currently halting the 500.
Today’s women’s results were: Henin d. Vesnina, Paszek d. Nakamura (got that one wrong), Safina d. Fedak, and Serena Williams d. Pironkova.
For the men: Safin d. Vicente (which I believe I already mentioned), Tipsarevic d. Vemic, and Starace d. Minar.

Roland Garros 2007: Opening Day on the Clay
I woke up this morning at 7:30 a.m. I had went to bed around 2 o’clock, but I couldn’t fall back to sleep. No, today was the day of destiny…the start of the French Open. Comcast, at least my local provider, is having a free preview of The Tennis Channel (TTC) for the next two weeks. Aside from the obvious convenience of this occurring during the Open, it’s even better because ESPN had sold a great deal of their coverage rights to TTC, and quite frankly ESPN’s coverage (particular of the French) sucks. Thank goodness USA Network covers the US Open–and has some of the most fantastic tennis coverage ever. The USA team are like tennis gods in my mind, with their willingness to keep showing outside their coverage windows and everything.

Dennou Coil — Episode 2
Got around to watching episode 2 of Dennou Coil this evening. I enjoyed episode 1 quite a bit, but the second installment of this charming show grabbed me even more.

Poppy Punk Power!
I watched Linda Linda Linda, a cute little Japanese film last night. That was one of the sweetest live action movies I’ve seen in a long time

Bootleg Removed from Amazon.com
While the Marketplace is still rife with them, as of 21 May 2007 the bootlegged Sailor Moon Sailor Stars boxset I mentioned in a previous post has been removed from Amazon.com (although not from the Marketplace, of course.)
I can’t help but think I sort of helped this along a little. It had been selling for months, apparently, but shortly after I posted about it on ANN, people started sending in comments and comments, it was discussed on AoD, and became a news item on ANN. That’s spiffy. Now here’s hoping it remains off the site, the other bootlegs people have found being sold by Amazon itself are removed, and maybe there can be a crackdown on the rampant bootlegs on the Marketplace too.
