I can’t help but get a sinking feeling in the pit of my stomach when I realize that the character on the cover of the manga I’m reading is a totally different sex than what I had been thinking it was for the past year or so (whenever I first saw the cover of The Wallflower volume 1.) I was just off to a roaring start with this series…

Dennou Coil — Episode 5
You know, this show is continuing to be completely charming. There’s something about the world in which they exist and the characters themselves that just makes you want to watch.

Bubblegum Crisis: Tokyo 2040 — Episode 15
As is often the case with an anime I start getting into a bit, I tend to have difficulty getting myself to write much about the middle episodes. I really don’t know what causes it, but it’s happening again with this show. Oh well, let’s just move right along to a bit of rambling.

Confidential Confessions — Volume 1
While I was waiting for cookies to bake today, I decided I needed some manga to go with my Kamikaze Girls soundtrack. Peering at my “To Read” shelf, Confidential Confessions caught my eye. I currently only have the first and fourth volumes, but as it’s supposed to be short story based, I figured it wouldn’t matter if I read volume 1 and then had to wait awhile before reading volume 2.

Train Man: Densha Otoko
Well, I have to leave for an essay exam in about an hour (which I’m really nervous about) so I figure it might not be a bad idea to get my fingers warmed up for a couple of hours of furious typing. Plus, I’ve been very lax about writing (for example, I’ve watched three more episodes of Bubblegum Crisis: Tokyou 2040, but haven’t had the desire to write, no matter how cool episode 12 was) so I figure I need to post anyway. It’s a win-win situation.

Things are heating up on this show. I’m not sure just how happy that makes me (really like meandering, slice of life stuff) but it’s doing a great job with it regardless.
