Eureka Seven–Episodes 23 & 24
These two episodes are key examples of why I find this show so frustrating. Why? Because they were just so damn good!

Fighting Spirit–Episodes 37 & 38
I haven’t been much in the mood to watch this series for awhile. I really don’t like Yamada, and I really miss characters like Miyata and the other early fighters. However, while driving home from yoga today, NPR’s “Fresh Air” was discussing an upcoming Mike Tyson documentary film. It got me thinking about boxing, and once I got settled in at home, I just felt the drive to watch a couple of episodes while the mood still struck me.

Cat Soup
Wow. That’s one word that can pretty much sum up the experience of watching Cat Soup.
Minami-ke–Episode 12
Okay, was that fandubbing, or did theyr eally do the “sit 3 meters” away bit in English for this episode? Really hard to tell with Ayako’s treatment of that bit typically. Hmm…

Minami-ke–Episode 11
This one was a blast! The rest of Minami Touma’s family gets introduced. Mostly.

Minami-ke–Episode 9
Accidentally started to rewatch episode 8, as I guess I didn’t mark it off back when I watched it a few months ago. Thankfully I recognized what was happening and skipped.
Not much to say about this episode though. It started out pretty amusing, and had Haruka doing something pretty selfish (and kinda scary.) She made a cake on her day off from school, and then turned around and ate the whole thing. That’s a lot of cake.
After that point things just sort of went downhilll though, getting a bit less funny with each little scene until the episode felt like it’d gone for an hour. I still dislike Kana, can’t stand Chiaki’s hair, and wish they’d quit throwing in that random other artstyle (and would lose the onigiri mouths.)

Eureka Seven–Episode 22
Oh sure, when I start to get interested the DVD ends. Probably for the best, I’m getting a nasty little headache from too much time staring at screens (I also watched 2 episodes of Boys Be and The Tale of Despereaux today.)
Eureka Seven–Episode 21
Allow me just one moment of fangirling, please.
Aya! Aya! Aya! Aya! Aya! Aya! YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sorry. I have no idea what it is about that woman, but I just adore her performance. I mean, deep down I know it’s the Sailor Moon connection, but the thing is, she doesn’t even voice my favorie character in that series. Shinohara Emi played Makoto, and yet Hisakawa Aya is the one I obsess over. Perhaps it’s because my husband’s favorite was Ami, so I redirected my energies towards her seiyuu? Or maybe it’s because she’s in just about everything. I don’t know, but I’m very enthused to finally have her appear in E7.
