The Vision of Escaflowne — Episode 3
Allen was introduced in this episode. I think I like him. He’s quite the smooth-talker, but not in a bad way. In a sense, he reminds me of Lando Calrissian, although much less likely to stab people in the back (or so I hope.)
From one land being destroyed to another being under attack–quite the destructive anime. Hopefully Hitomi will start to realize she’s seeing the future and begin warning people when she has visions of mass destruction. It’d be a good idea.
Anyway, still liking the series, just didn’t find much to say about this episode (although glad to hear Balgus was the instructor of Allen as well–go Balgus!)

The Vision of Escaflowne — First Look
Once upon a time, five or six years ago, I popped a rented DVD into my DVD player. My neighbor had his music blaring. There was a perpetual “thump thump thump” coming through the walls. I was in a bad, bad mood due to this.
One episode was watched. It was then placed back into the DVD case and returned to the rental place the next day in disgust. That was my introduction to The Vision of Escaflowne. Surprising to none, I am sure, my second attempt at watching the first episode met with much more success.
